“It is never simple to seek therapy, and there are many different reasons why. Making changes in your life can be exciting, inspiring, and frightening. I support a collaborative approach to therapy, where we jointly explore your thoughts and feelings to create workable solutions to problems and enhance your wellness.”

Nychelle has a strong passion to assist teenagers and young adults who encounter challenges with low self-esteem and self-confidence during significant life transitions, such as the shift from middle school to high school or from high school to higher education or trade. Her goal is to provide the necessary support to ensure a smooth transition as you embark on the next chapter of your life.
Nychelle achieved her Bachelors in Psychology at Hampton University and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. During her graduate years at Liberty, she interned at Hyland Heights Counseling Center and National Counseling Group where she provided counseling sessions to include therapeutic day treatment to children (ages 6 – 10) adolescents (ages 10 – 19) and services to students at Liberty University, and adults in the community. This, along with her diverse professional background across various roles in the mental health field and experience assisting individuals of all ages, enables her to provide her clients with the guidance and support they need. According to the preferences of her clients, Nychelle uses an eclectic counseling approach that combines many types of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and faith-based therapy.
As a Licensed Resident Professional Counselor Nychelle believes that our distinct experiences, emotions, and feelings make us complex and unique individuals who face challenges throughout life. Nychelle is certain that she can assist you in developing new perspectives and techniques in order to cope with those challenges.
