Emma Hildreth is an LPC-Intern in Counseling with a passion for helping people of all ages navigate daily life challenges and the achievement of emotional well-being. Emma is pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Liberty University and received her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from James Madison University. She is dedicated to seeing clients of all ages better their mental health and identify skills to overcome obstacles.
Following graduation from James Madison University Emma worked with adolescents in the residential treatment setting facing a wide range of mood and anxiety disorders as well as those facing depression, eating disorders, and trauma. She worked with clients to develop emotional regulation and practical skills that could be utilized not only in the treatment setting but at school, home, and any future endeavors.
Emma uses a flexible and integrative approach to counseling with a variety of therapeutic approaches, utilizing Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). This approach allows for a unique therapeutic approach to meet the needs of each individual client. She believes it is important for each client to feel safe in the counseling environment and be able to feel understood and identify the goals they are working toward.
