Welcome to the Social Skills Development Group! For young children, forming and learning to utilize appropriate social skills is a major aspect of their overall healthy development. The Social Skills Development Group aims to guide young children by educating them about the importance and application of such skills to promote positive relationships and mental health.
This free 4 week program is centered around crucial social skills including empathy, communication, cooperation, and problem solving. We will focus on one social skill each week through discussions, arts and crafts, games, and other interactive activities. The program is presented by HopeSpring Child & Family Clinic, LLC and facilitated by Jamie Lee, a rising third year undergraduate student at Boston College concentrating in Applied Psychology and Human Development. She is currently a therapist intern at HopeSpring Child & Family Clinic.
Social Skills Development will be held on Tuesdays at 7:20 pm. Each session will be 1 hour long. The specific dates are May 30, June 6, June 13, and June 20.
