Resident in Counseling
Warren C. Washington earned his bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling from Liberty University in 2019 and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same university in 2025. Warren has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families presenting with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and challenges related to anger management and emotional dysregulation. His clinical approach includes the implementation of developmentally appropriate, evidence-based interventions aimed at strengthening coping capacity, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing behavioral functioning across home and school environments.
Interventions have included structured coping skills training, cognitive and behavioral skill-building exercises, and experiential activities designed to increase self-awareness and emotional literacy. Warren integrates psychoeducation for both youth and caregivers to promote understanding of the neurobiological, cognitive, and behavioral impacts of ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He works collaboratively with families to reinforce therapeutic strategies, improve communication patterns, and support consistency in behavioral interventions outside of the clinical setting.
Warren is an LPC-R (Resident in Counseling) who provides individual and family therapy by using a person-centered, collaborative approach to help clients achieve their goals. In addition to a person-centered (PCT) approach, Warren also uses solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), which emphasizes unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental stance while fostering a relationship that promotes safety, trust, and self-worth. Warren believes that all people are equally important and should be granted the same rights and opportunities regardless of their socioeconomic status, worldview, or values.
